Chelsea are set to announce the signing of Joao Pedro in time for him to be available for his new club in time for their Club World Cup tie against Palmeiras.
Enzo Maresca is a big fan of Pedro, with him currently undergoing his medical before joining up with the squad in the United States.
The Blues were competing with Newcastle for the signing, however blew them out of the water with a £60m bid which was accepted by Brighton.
The Brazilian will be joining alongside Jamie Gittens, who has been a target of the club from even before the Club World Cup got underway.

Chelsea learn price tag for transfer target Mohammed Kudus
However, Fabrizio Romano hinted another attacker could be incoming, with one of the names linked being West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus.
Chelsea have already had a £50m proposal rejected for Kudus, with them not the only Premier League side interested in a deal.
London rivals Tottenham are considering a move for their rival’s key man, and now both clubs have learned how much they need to stump up to bring him in.
According to The Guardian, the Hammers are open to a fee of around £60m to sign the Ghana international, the same price Chelsea just paid for Pedro.
The versatility of Kudus is likely to play a part in why they are so interested in his services. He can play anywhere across the attacking line, including up front.
Maresca is a big fan of Kudus, describing him as ‘brilliant’ after the Blues defeated West Ham 3-0 earlier this season (ModernGhana).

Chelsea wanting to offload players in exchange for Kudus
With Chelsea already spending big money this summer, they are going to need to look to shifting on a number of the players who are surplus to requirements in West London.
The Blues have a long list of individuals they are hoping to move on this summer, including Axel Disasi, Carney Chukwuemeka and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Chelsea have offered those players already in a swap deal for Kudus, however up to now they have had no luck offering their own players in exchange.
With other positions on Chelsea’s shortlist too, it remains to be seen if they make a concrete attempt to sign a new attacker.
