It was a busy day at Chelsea on Thursday as the club secured a second pre-season win and confirmed the signing of youngster Harrison Bettoni from Wigan – but more is in the pipeline.
Goals from Emmanuel Emegha, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens saw Chelsea cruise to an easy 3-0 win over League One side Bromley, with both Emegha and Gittens netting their second goals of pre-season.

That came after Chelsea had confirmed their third arrival of the summer in the form of teenage talent Harrison Bettoni from Wigan Athletic. The 18-year-old playmaker has signed on until June 2030.
But plenty more signings are expected at Chelsea. Just this week, John Stones, Alex Scott, Maxence Lacroix and Illia Zabarnyi have all been linked, leaving Chelsea fans stunned at the work BlueCo are doing.
Chelsea favourites for £30m deal to sign Kerim Alajbegovic
At the beginning of the season, it was reported that Chelsea were keeping tabs on 18-year-old Bosnia star Alajbegovic. It was believed, more recently, that Atalanta were going to sign the Leverkusen star.
According to a report from The Telegraph, however, Chelsea are now favourites to sign Alajbegovic in a £30m deal. The attacker had put his move to Atalanta on hold when he heard Chelsea came calling.
Clips of the youngster have emerged on social media and Chelsea fans are rightly excited. The young talent has been impressive in the Bundesliga, shining for Xabi Alonso’s old side throughout 2025-26.

Alajbegovic is a top, top talent. A player able to score goals from distance and create magic out of nothing. There is no doubt that a £30m transfer fee represents huge resale value and a possible bargain.

But is he good enough to start for Chelsea right now, with Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer in the side? Especially with no European football on offer? The Geovany Quenda tactic would be perfect for him.
It would allow him to go back on loan to the place he is comfortable in and scoring goals, instead of rotting on the bench and ruining his huge potential. Sign him, but send him to Leverkusen on loan.
