Chelsea are just one Premier League club who are interested in Juventus defender Gleison Bremer.

According to Calciomercato.it, Chelsea and Manchester United are both looking at Gleison Bremer.

The Italian outlet has also claimed that Tottenham Hotspur were interested in the 26-year-old during the summer and still have him on their radar.

Juventus signed Bremer from their rivals Torino for £34.8m back in 2022, as reported by BBC Sport.

The Brazilian has been a key player for the Old Lady this season, starting in all 11 of their Serie A games so far.

Could Gleison Bremer replace another Brazilian at Chelsea?

Chelsea have their own Brazilian centre-back in Thiago Silva, but his time at Stamford Bridge could be coming to an end.

The 39-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season and he is being linked with a move back to his homeland.

If Silva does depart, perhaps Chelsea will bring in another central defender like Bremer. However, doing so may not be necessary.

Mauricio Pochettino will still have options in central defence if Silva does go on to leave west London next summer.

Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana can all play there. Pochettino just needs them to stay fit.

Really, though, Chelsea should just be looking to keep hold of Silva for another year. Despite being 39, he has still played in all of their Premier League games this season and been one of their best players.

According to WhoScored, the Brazil international is making the most amount of clearances per match in his squad.

If it’s not broken, don’t fix it, but Chelsea are so trigger-happy in the transfer market these days. It really would not be a shock to see them offload Silva and bring in someone else to replace him.
