Chelsea are now set to reject four bids from Championship clubs to take Cesare Casadei on loan next season.
That is according to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Cesare Casadei, who’s just 20, is a highly-rated youngster that joined the Blues last summer for £12million (Guardian).
The Italian midfielder spent time last season with Chelsea’s Under-21s followed by a short-term loan at Reading, so what does the future hold for him?
Gianluca Di Marzio claimed this week that Leicester City have asked Chelsea if they can sign Casadei on a temporary basis to boost their aim to get out of the Championship.
However, it sounds like the 20-year-old won’t be heading to the second division.

Romano has claimed on Twitter that Chelsea will turn down four separate offers from Championship sides for Casadei.
Instead, the Blues would much rather the box-to-box midfielder gets to continue his development next season in the Premier League or Serie A.
“Understand Cesare Casadei plans are for Premier League or Serie A football next season, despite 4 loan proposals from Championship clubs,” Romano said.
“Priority will be for that kind of move — final decision will be made together with Chelsea.”

Leicester will surely go into the Championship season as one of the strong favourites to be promoted, but we can understand why Casadei could be tested at a higher level next year.
The Athletic previous claimed that Casadei impressed everyone around Chelsea first-team training when he first joined the club.
We’re very excited to see where he’s playing next season.
