Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic is prepared to take a ‘substantial’ pay cut to help secure him a move to AC Milan.

That is according to a report from ESPN.

Christian Pulisic, who’s entering the final year of his Blues deal at Stamford Bridge, is strongly linked with a move away in this summer transfer window.

It sounds like the 24-year-old player is doing his best to try secure himself a transfer.

ESPN says that Pulisic has an agreement in principle on a long-term deal with Milan, albeit the Italians still need to agree a transfer fee with Chelsea.

It is understood that the United States international is willing to take a serious pay cut to ensure the transfer happens, with only minor details to be ironed out before there’s a full agreement on personal terms.

The report explains that Chelsea and Milan continue to discuss the sum.

They claim that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have set an asking price of €25million (£21million) for Pulisic. However, the Serie A club believe the attacker is worth between €15million-€18million (£13million-£15million).

We’ve seen Chelsea offload so many players already in this summer window, most of whom we agree with.

Pulisic definitely falls into the category of Blues stars that needs to go.

The quick winger desperately needs a fresh challenge in his career to try recapture his best form, something that Chelsea supporters have not seen in quite a while now.

Hopefully, the Blues can reach an agreement with Milan to allow the American to embark on a new challenge.

Pulisic recently admitted in an interview with ESPN that he wants to be playing his football somewhere at club level where he enjoys it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that’s Chelsea any longer.
