Chelsea have now agreed a deal with an overseas club to sell them their attacker this summer.

There’s less than a week left in this summer transfer window, but hopefully it’s enough time for the Blues to offload several individuals and trim down the group.

Chelsea have 15 players training separately from the main squad, which includes several high-profile names that are not in Enzo Maresca’s immediate plans.

Now, there’s speculation that one of the stars could get their summer transfer move.

Chelsea and Napoli agree Romelu Lukaku transfer

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano via X on Friday night, Chelsea and Napoli reached a “verbal agreement’ for the summer transfer of Romelu Lukaku.

It is explained that the Blues have accepted a deal worth €30m (£25m) to sell the striker to the Serie A club. Apparently, the deal could be worth up to €45m (£38m) in total with potential add-ons.

The 31-year-old Belgium international is now expected to pen a three-year deal in Naples and secure a permanent exit away from West London.

Relief this saga is done

Lukaku’s second spell as a Chelsea player has been a disaster, so it’ll be a relief for everybody when the deal is signed and confirmed.

The centre-forward has proven in the last two years he can still score goals in Italy, spending time out on loan with Inter Milan and then Roma. Therefore, it looks like he’s moving for a fair price to Naples this summer.

Speaking via Calciomercato.it. recently, Napoli manager Antonio Conte called Lukaku “excellent”. The pair will now reunite again for a partnership that has been successful over the years.

Lukaku’s £97.5m transfer (Sky Sports) to Chelsea three years ago must go down as one of the club’s worse ever signings, but they’ll at least get some money back this summer.
