Chelsea have now received a bid from Lyon for Christian Pulisic – with Todd Boehly ready to accept the offer.

That is according to The Athletic.

So, what are the details regarding Lyon‘s bid for Christian Pulisic? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, the French side have made a £21.5m bid for the United States international.

The Athletic believe Chelsea find the offer acceptable.

It is also said that the Blues have a strong relationship with Lyon following the signing of Malo Gusto from the Ligue 1 outfit in January, with Chelsea particularly fond of John Textor’s project.

Chelsea are set to accept Lyon’s offer for Pulisic as a result, and it means AC Milan’s derisory bid worth £12m for the American has now been blown out of the water.

The Athletic do not state whether the Chelsea No.10 would like a move to Lyon, although the Evening Standard have claimed that he is very frustrated at Stamford Bridge and is desperate to leave.

Therefore, we would imagine that Pulisic would jump at the chance to join a side like Lyon.

Chelsea could have Pulisic bidding war on their hands

Interestingly – according to Fabrizio Romano – Pulisic is very keen on a move to AC Milan this summer, despite the Italian giants failing to make an acceptable bid so far.

That could result in the Serie A side match Lyon’s offer in the coming days, having already managed to attract the winger’s attention – they can also offer him Champions League football next season, something Lyon cannot.

Should that turn out to be the case, then Chelsea could have a bidding war on their hands, which would be a very positive development – in June, it seemed as if the Blues would struggle to offload Pulisic as few offers were made.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as anything could happen this summer.
