Bayern Munich would rather sign Kai Havertz over Mason Mount from Chelsea this summer, according to reports.
Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, who are two high-profile stars in the Blues squad, are linked with potential moves away from Stamford Bridge. In fact, German heavyweights Bayern Munich are rumoured to be interested in both.
GiveMeSport claimed this week that Bayern are interested in signing Havertz. However, the report says Chelsea would “play hardball” over the 23-year-old attacker’s sale.
Meanwhile, The Guardian recently said that Mount would open to the idea of reuniting with Thomas Tuchel at Bayern. Apparently, the Bundesliga club could enter the running for the 24-year-old attacking midfielder at the end of the season.
Now, fresh developments share where Bayern’s focus seems to lie.

According to 90min, Bayern have Havertz higher up on their wish list than Mount for summer transfer targets.
It is understood that they have monitored the Germany international since his days at Bayer Leverkusen.
The report adds he’s seen as a long-term replacement for Thomas Muller.
90min’s report does highlight the Bayern interest that exists in Mount, but Havertz is seen as much more of a priority.

Joe Cole described Havertz as “absolutely outstanding” after his Chelsea performance against Borussia Dortmund earlier this month.
It’s a sign of the left-footed forward finding a bit of form, scoring in three consecutive Chelsea appearances before the international break.
His Blues career has followed a pattern of spectacular moments surrounded by below-par performances, but let’s hope he’s about to find some real consistency.
