Chelsea are reportedly very interested in signing Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton.
Alexis Mac Allister, whose reputation has grown rapidly in the past 12 months, is a talented midfielder.
According to Football London, Chelsea really like the Brighton star and he’s on their radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
It is understood that the Seagulls don’t want to sell their 24-year-old player, though.
The report does add that Chelsea’s recruitment team are having constant conversations about strengthening this summer in the central midfield position.
Mac Allister can thrive in the centre of the park as a midfielder, but his incredible versatility means he can be equally as effective sitting deeper as a No.6 or playing in more advanced roles.
CaughtOffside recently quoted his price tag as £60million-plus.

Chelsea have already raided World Cup winners Argentina by signing Enzo Fernandez from Benfica in January. Could they now do the same with his midfielder partner Mac Allister, too?
Fernandez and Mac Allister, who both starred at the World Cup last winner, played in Argentina’s 2-0 win over Panama last night. Incidentally, national media praised Fernandez’s performance yesterday.
Mac Allister is now turning into a nailed-on starter for Argentina. Brighton massively rely on the technical midfielder, too.
The South American star already has nine goals in 26 Brighton appearances across all competitions this season.

Sergio Aguero described Mac Allister as “a very intelligent player” a few months (The Argus). Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp was singing Mac Allister’s praises earlier in the year.
Such high praise from some of football’s biggest names just highlights how well the Brighton man is doing.
