Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez.
Martinez, 25, is a talented striker currently enjoying some of the best months of his career to date.
The centre-forward has 15 goals and seven assists in 31 Inter appearances across all competitions so far this season. Also, he was part of the Argentina side that won the World Cup back in December.

Interest in Lautaro Martinez
According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea could soon battle both Manchester United and Arsenal for Martinez’s signature.
It is explained that Inter’s financial issues could mean they sell some prized assets in the summer, with their World Cup winner someone that could generate between £40million-£50million.
The report adds that the South American star does want to play in the Premier League during his career amid interest from English sides.
If any club can sign Martinez for as cheap as £40million, they could be pulling off a fantastic piece of business.
It’s interesting to note that the centre-forward turned down a move to Arsenal last summer because they couldn’t offer Champions League football (The Times). Mikel Arteta’s side should be in a much better position if they reignite interest, though.
Therefore, can Chelsea tempt him to Stamford Bridge this summer given their chances of finishing in the Champions League spots this season look slim?

Described as “absolutely brilliant” by Jamie O’Hara, Martinez is an explosive attacker with great pace and directness.
Chelsea already signed one World Cup winner in January by adding “fantastic” 22-year-old Enzo Fernandez.
It definitely feels like the Blues still need a further addition at centre-forward despite huge investment already.
