Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Lille striker Jonathan David.
According to journalist Simon Phillips on his Substack, the Blues are monitoring the 23-year-old attacker right now.
Graham Potter’s side are linked with a whole host of centre-forwards ahead of the summer, with the team crying out for an out-and-out frontman at the top end of the pitch.
David has been on fire for French side Lille so far this season, scoring 21 goals in just 29 games across all competitions.
Incidentally, it means he’s outscored Real Madrid superstar Karim Benzema, who has 19 goals in 28 matches during this current campaign.

Chelsea were reportedly keen on Lille’s talisman heading into the January window.
Jeunes Footeux claimed last year that the Blues were interested in signing David, who could cost at least €60million (£52million).
He’s stayed in Ligue 1 this season with Lille, who are sixth in the French league right now.
The striker is scoring goals at a rate that stacks up alongside the top names in Europe, which is why there is a lot of excitement around the young forward.

David is a young attacker with pace and bags of potential, but it would be a big risk making him Chelsea’s marquee signing for the striker position this summer.
The Blues have found it very difficult in recent years to fill the void up top.
Graham Potter’s side will surely be a lot safer pursuing someone like Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, who looks a much safer bet to come in and hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge.
However, you can see David fitting in with the club’s transfer policy under the current owners.
