Liverpool are reportedly pushing hard to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea.

Premier League giants Liverpool, who are going through a bit of a squad rebuild right now, are among the clubs to be linked with Chelsea’s attacking midfielder in recent times.

ESPN claimed earlier this week that Liverpool, Juventus, Manchester United and Manchester United all shared an interest in Mount.

The 24-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge is under question right now because his contract expires in 2024.

Graham Potter explained yesterday that the Blues remain in contract negotiations with the England international, who he wants to keep in west London.

Liverpool really want Mason Mount

The Daily Mail now reports that Liverpool are ‘pushing hard’ to try take Mount to Anfield.

It is understood that the player’s future is in doubt due to the contract impasse. As it stands, he wants the club to treble his £80,000-a-week ages.

The report says Liverpool have long-standing interest in Mount and they’re moving to significantly strengthen their midfield this summer.

Described as “fantastic” by Potter, Mount has been one of the outstanding individuals in this Chelsea squad in the last few seasons.

He’s one of the few in this group you feel like can post up a decent tally of goals and assists, something the side desperately need right now.

Yes, he’s going through a tough run of form. It would be astonishing if the Blues did lose the academy graduate in the summer.

You can be certain that he would fit in like a glove to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool midfield with his overall ability.
