Chelsea reportedly have a plan to make their move to try sign a Premier League attacker before the summer transfer window closes at the end of August.
The Blues have been extremely active in adding new recruits to the squad, but they’ve still got until 30 August to conclude their business.
In terms of the attacking positions, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has a big job on his hands deciding the best forward line-up. There’s still transfer speculation that more wingers could join, too.
Noni Madueke just delivered a statement performance in pre-season, but will he be nailed in the starting XI?

Chelsea will move for Oscar Bobb again
Manchester Evening News reported in July that Chelsea were considering Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb. Now, the 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge again.
Respected journalist Simon Phillips has claimed via Substack that Chelsea’s directors were impressed after watching Man City’s Oscar Bobb play against them in a pre-season friendly.
It is explained that the Blues reached out to both Man City and Bobb’s camp earlier this summer with an enquiry, but there’s been no response. Apparently, the youngster’s preference would be staying at the Etihad Stadium.
Phillips adds that Chelsea realise prizing Bobb away from Manchester will be tough. However, Enzo Maresca’s side will try again before the summer window shuts to sign the City right-winger and hope they can tempt him with more first-team action in a similar way to how they snapped up Cole Palmer last summer.
Cole Palmer 2.0
Palmer went from a Man City squad player to a Chelsea sensation in such a short space of time, and it’s fair enough to suggest Bobb could follow a similar path.
There’s no doubt that Bobb, who’s a left-footed winger that loves to cut infield, has special individual talent. In a video shared on the Football Manager TikTok channel in May, Man City star Phil Foden described Bobb as “unbelievable” and tipped him for a huge future.
Chelsea’s right wing options going into the new season currently include Palmer, Noni Madueke and Angelo Gabriel. The Daily Mail claims that Palmer could be playing more centrally in the upcoming campaign, though.
If Chelsea’s interest in Bobb intensifies and he ends up joining, the Norway international’s got the potential to light up Stamford Bridge.
