West Ham United are one less club who Chelsea will have to worry about in the race for one winger this summer.
Having missed out on Bayern Munich’s new signing Michael Olise, Chelsea are still in the market for a wide man.
They have been able to convince Estevao Willian to sign for them, but the Palmeiras youngster is not old enough to officially join the club yet.
Chelsea are at least making a bit of progress in their bid to bring in a first-team striker. Chelsea are talking to Napoli about Victor Osimhen right now.
As far as wingers go, though, that has all gone a bit quiet recently. But it looks like West Ham will not pose them a problem if they decide to go after one man before the transfer window shuts.

West Ham no longer a threat to Chelsea in Crysencio Summerville race
Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville has been on Chelsea’s shortlist this summer.
With Leeds failing to win promotion back to the Premier League, a deal certainly looks possible as well.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claimed last month that £40m could get Summerville out of Leeds.
West Ham were interested in Summerville, but they now look to have cooled their interest in him.
According to talkSPORT, the Hammers are on the verge of pulling out of the race to sign the 22-year-old, which would make Chelsea’s life a bit easier if they still want him.
Chelsea could have beaten West Ham to Crysencio Summerville
The only thing that West Ham and Julen Lopetegui probably would have had over Chelsea is being in the position to offer Summerville more game time.
The Blues currently have Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk in their squad, so Enzo Maresca may not have been able to guarantee the Dutchman a starting spot.
However, Chelsea are a richer club and will be competing in the Europa Conference League this season, so they can offer more money and some form of European football to Summerville. It is not a race they should have been losing to West Ham.
