Juventus believe they’re in a strong position to sign Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku this summer.
That is according to a report from The Times.
They claim that Serie A giants Juventus think they’re in a great spot to sign Romelu Lukaku due to the player’s desire to return to Italy.
It is understood that Inter Milan have withdrawn their interest to re-sign the 30-year-old Chelsea striker. Also, the Belgian doesn’t want a move to Saudi Arabia despite the Blues receiving a bid from Al-Hilal.
The report adds that Juventus will try convince Chelsea to loan them Lukaku next season with an option to buy next summer.

Apparently, Juventus have a budget of around £35million to sign Lukaku. They would much prefer a temporary deal with a season-long loan, though.
The centre-forward was left off Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States to allow him time to sort his future, but he’s still not found a new club as the next campaign quickly approaches.
Hopefully, a decision can be made on his future very soon.
Described as “incredible” by Ashley Young a couple of years ago (BT Sport), Lukaku simply need a fresh start elsewhere to regain his form.

Calcio Mercato recently claimed that Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli is set to fly to London to try negotiate a deal for Lukaku.
We certainly don’t want the out-of-favour striker still around Cobham when Mauricio Pochettino and his first-team group return from the pre-season tour.
He’s proven he can be a prolific scorer in Italy, albeit it would be controversial for the former Inter star to wear Juventus colours.
