Club decide Chelsea are asking for too much for 24-year-old, have now found alternative

AC Milan have now identified Adama Traore as an alternative to Christian Pulisic after deeming Chelsea’s asking price to be too high.

That is according to Sky Italy.

So, what is the latest on Christian Pulisic at Chelsea? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, the Evening Standard believe the United States international is frustrated at Stamford Bridge, and is desperate to leave this summer.

Pulisic made just eight starts in the Premier League last season, and doesn’t appear to be keen on staying under Mauricio Pochettino.

As things stand, only AC Milan have shown concrete interest in the American, although Sky Italy believe the Italian giants are not willing to pay Chelsea’s €22m (£19m) asking price.

As a result, those at the San Siro are now exploring a move for Traore – who is a free agent after his contract at Wolves expired.

Sky Italy add that AC Milan are still in talks with Chelsea as they attempt to lower the asking price for Pulisic, following successful negotiations over a deal to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The England international has moved to Milan in a deal worth €21.5m (£18.6m).

Chelsea should not budge from Pulisic stance

In our view, it is very cheeky of AC Milan to insist on Chelsea lowering that £19m asking price even more.

The Blues are already offering Pulisic out for a heavily reduced fee, having signed the 24-year-old from Borussia Dortmund in a £58m deal back in January 2019.

£19m for the captain of the United States, someone who still has their best years ahead of them, is a very reasonable asking price, and if AC Milan cannot afford it, they should end talks with Chelsea.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as the Italian giants could soon move on from Pulisic and sign Traore instead.
