Chelsea’s midfielder is reportedly attracting transfer interest during this final week of the transfer window.

There’s been a lot of outside noise about all the new signings made by Chelsea this summer, but there’s also been plenty of outgoings to match that. It’s certainly going to be interesting to see how many more leave before the transfer deadline on 30 August.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported via X in the last 24 hours that Chelsea have agreed to sell striker Romelu Lukaku to Napoli. It’ll bring to an end Lukaku’s nightmare three-year spell association with the Blues.

Now, there’s speculation that suggests another individual could be heading for the exit doors.

Chelsea in talks to sell Tino Anjorin

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Empoli are in ‘advanced negotiations’ to sign Chelsea’s Tino Anjorin this summer.

It is explained that the Italian club, who play in the Serie A, are in discussions to sign the 22-year-old Blues midfielder.

On top of that, The Athletic reports that Anjorin is in talks with Empoli over joining them in a permanent transfer.

The Portsmouth News claimed earlier this summer that Championship club Portsmouth have been interested in re-signing Anjorin this summer. This comes after the English youngster spent last season on loan with them.

However, the latest update is that Chelsea’s academy graduate may be moving to Itay.

Time to sell

Anjorin officially signed for Chelsea at the Under-9 age group, so his journey from the academy to first-team group is a fantastic one. He’s actually made five senior appearances for the Blues, but the most recent one was back in 2021.

It feels like now is a good time for the attacking midfielder to move permanently and find a new home.

Speaking via The Athletic back in 2022, Levi Colwill described Anjorin as “remarkable”. Unfortunately, the attacking midfielder’s route back into Chelsea’s first team looks blocked because of the competition for places.
