Fabrizio Romano has now claimed Matthijs de Ligt is keen for a move to the Premier League this summer.
The 22-year-old has been touted to leave Juventus this summer, with him reportedly handing in a transfer request after negotiations regarding his future release clause fell through.
After an imperious spell as Ajax captain, he joined the Old Lady in 2019, with him finally breaking in as a regular starter in the last couple of years.

The Blues have reportedly been keen on a move for the Dutchman, with Thomas Tuchel making him his number one priority for a signing at the back this summer.
Chelsea are becoming desperate to add to their defensive options for next season, following confirmed departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
This has led to a desire for elite options such as De Ligt, with Romano claiming the deal is a genuine possibility.
De Ligt wants Premier League move
He said: “De Ligt wants to leave Juventus, he’s keen on a move to Premier league football with Chelsea really interested, but Chelsea will need to improve their proposal to Juventus.
“Let’s see if Chelsea will be able to include some players in the negotiation, Juventus appreciate Timo Werner.
“They will sign at least two centre backs, and he’s a priority. Tuchel wants him.
“De Ligt and Chelsea is something concrete.”
Thomas Tuchel is said to be a massive fan of the Netherlands international, with the centre-back said to be the German’s dream signing, according to journalist Dean Jones on Give Me Sport.
The club have been reportedly looking at members of their current club to add to the deal in order to bring down the required fee, with Christian Pulisic also rumoured to be offered as part of a deal.

Chelsea are also looking at other options to add to the Dutchman, with reports circulating that the club are already in discussions with Manchester City over a potential deal for compatriot Nathan Ake.
Adding De Ligt would give the Blues a defender to build around for the next decade, bringing a leader to the club who can spend a year learning from Thiago Silva to fine tune his game.
