Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar could reportedly be tempted by a move to Chelsea.

CBS journalist Ben Jacobs claims the £90,000-a-week centre-back may be open to a switch to the Premier League, in particular to England’s capital city London.

This comes after recent Chelsea links to the Slovakia international.

It’s been reported the Blues have approached Inter Milan about Skriniar, albeit the two sides are still someway apart on their valuations of the player.

Skriniar could be tempted to Chelsea

It’s a positive sign for Chelsea fans that want to sign Skriniar that he’s open to the idea of switching Italy for England.

There’s still a long way to go before supporters can get excited judging by reports, though.

“He’s (Skriniar) got an ambition to move to London and play in the Premier League and could be swayed,” CBS journalist Ben Jacobs told Football Terrace when discussing the Inter star’s links to Stamford Bridge.

Time to ditch back three?

Realistically, it’s going to take at least two top-class signings at centre-back to ensure Chelsea remain strong in playing their preferred back three next season.

It’s a system Blues manager Thomas Tuchel likes using, enjoying plenty of success so far during 18 months at Stamford Bridge.

A major benefit of sticking with the formation is the deployment of full-backs Reece James and Ben Chilwell as wing-backs. They could both drop back in as a conventional left-back and right-back if needed, though.

Tuchel should seriously considering tinkering depending on summer transfer activity.
