Crystal Palace want to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah next month because of his versatility.
Trevoh Chalobah has not had a chance to prove himself this season, but the 24-year-old is still attracting interest, with the Daily Express reporting that Crystal Palace are one club who are keen on him.
The outlet claims the fact that Chalobah can play in multiple positions has caught their attention as Roy Hodgson looks to improve his squad.
According to TEAMtalk, Palace could sign the centre-back in a £35m deal to replace Marc Guehi, who has actually been linked with a return to Chelsea.
Chalobah has not played a single minute of football for Chelsea this season because of injury.

Trevoh Chalobah’s versatility
There is a lot to like about Chalobah, with his versatility being just one thing.
The Chelsea man can play in central defence, at right-back and in midfield. That and his Premier League experience obviously make him quite appealing to a club like Palace.
One thing that his former manager Thomas Tuchel also loved about him was his confidence, something the German spoke to Chelsea’s official club website about a couple of years ago.
He is a useful player to have around, but Chalobah is going to want game time and that is something Mauricio Pochettino will not be able to guarantee him.
With Reece James out injured, right-back is a position where Chalobah could get some minutes here and there when he recovers. If Malo Gusto is not available for whatever reason or is not playing well, then his team-mate could come in.
However, if Chalobah is looking for a regular spot in Chelsea’s central defence, he is probably not going to get that given all of the other options Pochettino has at this moment in time, the likes of Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi, for example.
