Former Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez could be on his way back to the Premier League amid reported interest from Chelsea.
Al-Hilal signed Nunez from Liverpool last summer, but the 26-year-old already looks set to leave the Saudi Pro League club and could join the Reds’ rivals Chelsea.
If you had to pick one, Nicolas Jackson or Darwin Nunez?
Don't say none 🤣
In March, it was claimed that Chelsea are keen on Nunez, and fresh reports are saying that is still the case.
Darwin Nunez prefers Liverpool return to Chelsea move
According to Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea are interested in signing Nunez, who is also an option for Barcelona if they fail to land Julian Alvarez.
However, the same outlet claims that Nunez’s preference is to return to Liverpool, which could complicate things for Chelsea.
The Uruguayan is not the only centre-forward who is being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge right now.
There are also rumours about Chelsea being interested in Dusan Vlahovic. Vlahovic is available on a free transfer after failing to agree a new contract with Juventus.
His wage demands could be a problem for interested clubs, though, while there will also be concerns about his injury record.

Chelsea should keep hold of Nicolas Jackson instead of signing Darwin Nunez
Honestly, Chelsea signing Nunez seems utterly pointless when they already have Nicolas Jackson on their books.
Jackson and Nunez share similar weaknesses. In the Premier League, they have both underperformed in xG, showing that they need to refine their finishing.
However, Jackson is still a couple of years younger than Nunez, his link-up play is elite and he will not cost Chelsea a transfer fee. It makes more sense to reintegrate him into the first-team squad, which does appear to be a possibility this summer.
Jackson is set to hold talks with Chelsea about his future, with all options still seemingly on the table.
All in all, Nunez is not the answer for Xabi Alonso and Chelsea, especially with Jackson still around.
