Chelsea are in talks to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic after talks between the Serbian striker and the Old Lady failed to reach an agreement. Vlahovic’s stance on his next club has now emerged.
Vlahovic, now 26, has spent the last four and a half years at Turkey following his move Fiorentina during the winter window of January 2022. He’s had a hand in 84 goals in 168 games for Juventus, scoring 68.

Chelsea are expected to be in the market for a new striker this summer. Joao Pedro was Chelsea’s Player of the Season for 2025-26, and Chelsea have made the Brazil international ‘untouchable’ this summer.
But behind him, there is a distinct lack of quality. Liam Delap could leave in the coming weeks, while Marc Guiu is also expected to leave, or go on loan. Vlahovic is now being strongly linked with a Chelsea move.
Dusan Vlahovic stance as Chelsea lead race for Juventus star
Already this summer, Chelsea have been linked with Vlahovic. Now, TeamTalk say Chelsea are in talks and are best-positioned to sign the Serbian ace. But plenty of other Premier League clubs are interested.
Indeed, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Aston Villa have all made approaches to sign Vlahovic. The striker’s exit from Juventus has been confirmed, and the race is on.
But the report indicates Chelsea are leading the race in talks to sign Vlahovic. The striker also has interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, but Vlahovic’s stance is that he would prefer to remain in European football.
Indeed, Vlahovic would like to test himself out of Italy for the first time while remaining in Europe. In terms of his wages, Vlahovic is said to be expecting a ‘significant offer’ given he is without a club.

Chelsea are not the only side interested in signing a striker this summer, and it will hardly be deemed a top priority, given the presence of Pedro. Of course, if Pedro leaves, then that immediately becomes key.

Barcelona are among Europe’s big guns eyeing a new striker with Robert Lewandowski set to leave Hansi Flick’s side. It saw Barca linked with Pedro and another striker on Chelsea’s shortlist, in Julian Alvarez.
As per Vlahovic’s friend Dusan Ilic, Vlahovic will choose Barcelona: “He’ll go to Barcelona for me. Before Juve, he’d spoken to Atlético Madrid, but he chose the Bianconeri. It was an offer he couldn’t refuse.”
It all depends on whether Vlahovic and which European league he will prefer to join. The Premier League is the dream for most players, and has the most money available. Vlahovic could move to London.
