Chelsea’s first-team player is contemplating pursuing a move away from Stamford Bridge after just one year at the club.
There has been quite an incredible turnover of the Chelsea squad across recent transfer windows, with so many incomings and outgoings for supporters to try to keep up with.
Chelsea offloaded three more players on Wednesday because Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Lesley Ugochukwu were sold, while Marc Guiu departed on loan. Let’s wait and see how many more leave before the summer transfer window closes on 1 September.

Filip Jorgensen considering Chelsea exit
Journalist Simon Phillips claims via Substack that Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, 23, is actually considering a transfer exit in this current summer window.
Apparently, the Blues shot-stopper is now uncertain about his future, mainly because he is not content with his role of being the number two gloveman behind Robert Sanchez.
Phillips adds that the Denmark international hasn’t asked to leave yet despite mulling over his future. It is highlighted that Chelsea haven’t stood in the way of any player who has willingly asked to exit the football club.
Signed by Blues head coach Enzo Maresca, Jorgensen only joined Chelsea from Villarreal in July 2024.
He kept 10 clean sheets in 24 appearances across all competitions during his debut season with the Blues, but ultimately slipped into the role as the club’s second-choice goalkeeper.
Jorgensen was included in the Conference League Team of the Tournament because he was a key figure en route to winning the European competition last term. It was a competition that allowed Maresca to rotate heavily to keep most of his squad involved, but we doubt he can deploy the same tactic in the Champions League during the new season.

Chelsea still believe in Filip Jorgensen
Last season, Jorgensen tried and failed with his short run in Chelsea’s best XI as the Premier League starter. However, at the age of 23, he’s still incredibly young and inexperienced for a goalkeeper.
The Scandinavian keeper still looked a solid player with strong fundamentals when he played last year across the cup competitions, but he’s still got plenty of development and growth to go through.
It was reported in March that Chelsea still have ‘full faith’ in Jorgensen, even though his debut year in West London was sometimes a bit rocky.
We would advise Jorgensen to sit tight at Chelsea and continue to work hard behind the scenes to make sure he’s ready when the next opportunity comes around in Maresca’s team. Let’s wait and see if he’s willing to stick it out for another season, though.
