One Chelsea attacker could become the subject of an offer from Marseille in the near future.
Chelsea‘s squad is filled with so many talented attackers right now, including the likes of Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho, Christopher Nkunku and Mykhailo Mudryk.
With Enzo Maresca having a lot of options, game time will be limited for some. It has already been claimed that Nkunku is fighting for his future.
Another Chelsea attacker, Mudryk, has been linked with a move away from the club.
Marseille interested in Mykhailo Mudryk
Mudryk’s former manager Roberto De Zerbi is currently at Marseille, and it looks like the Italian is keen on a reunion with the winger.
A report from Jeunes Footeux suggests that Marseille are dreaming about signing Mudryk from Chelsea on loan.
The French outlet claims that the Blues have other plans for the 23-year-old, but it would not be a surprise if they did eventually loan him out to someone.
Mudryk has only made one start in the Premier League this season so far and faces a real challenge to get into Maresca’s first XI following Sancho’s arrival.
Maresca is likely to start Mudryk against Barrow tonight, with changes expected for the Carabao Cup tie.
Mykhailo Mudryk should join Marseille on loan
Mudryk is a wide man with some good qualities. When Mauricio Pochettino spoke to ITV about Mudryk after one game last season, he stated that the Ukrainian has “amazing talent”.
Unfortunately for Chelsea supporters, they have rarely got to see that amid Mudryk’s struggles at Stamford Bridge.
In the 15 Premier League games Mudryk played during his first season at the club, the Ukraine international did not even manage to score a goal.
Mudryk will be hoping that he gets more opportunities to show his talent, but again, with all of the attacking options that Maresca has, he may not get too many more.
Therefore, joining Marseille or another club temporarily may be the best thing for Mudryk.
