Chelsea signing Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho is starting to become increasingly likely.

After extensive background checks on the player, it has been claimed that Chelsea now plan to make an offer for Garnacho.

Other clubs are also thought to be interested in signing the 21-year-old from United this summer.

However, one European side definitely seem to be out of the running, with it being believed that Garnacho wants to stay in the Premier League.

‘No chance’ of Besiktas signing Alejandro Garnacho

Turkish outfit Besiktas are another team who have been linked with Garnacho during this transfer window.

However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has posted on X that there is “no chance” of the Argentina international joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, as his desire is to remain in England.

If Garnacho does go on to join Chelsea, though, he will not be guaranteed a place in Enzo Maresca‘s starting XI.

The Blues have already bought Jamie Gittens, whose best position is on the left, and they could yet sign Xavi Simons.

Like Gittens and Garnacho, the RB Leipzig star can also play on the left. On Saturday, it was reported that Simons had missed training and would not play in his side’s friendly against Atalanta as he tries to secure a move to Chelsea.

Alejandro Garnacho wants to join Chelsea

Agreeing a deal with Garnacho will not be a difficult task for Chelsea. It is being reported that Stamford Bridge is his preferred destination.

It was actually said earlier in the summer that Garnacho was keen to join Chelsea, and he is now likely to get his wish if the Club World Cup winners can strike an agreement with United.

The Argentina star has done some real damage to Chelsea in the past, but it looks like he could be helping them next season.

All in all, Maresca already has an exciting attack, but it could be about to get even more exciting with the addition of a young and talented winger such as Garnacho.
