Chelsea’s midfield player is now reportedly attracting interest from a rival Premier League club.
There’s certainly real depth in the current Blues squad when it comes to central midfielders, which means new head coach Enzo Maresca will have some big decisions to make next season.

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder found himself down the pecking order last season, but will things be any different following a change of management?
The Athletic has claimed that Chelsea plan to review Ugochukwu’s situation and will consider loaning him out amid interest.
Now, fresh claims suggest that he’s wanted by some in Merseyside.

Everton interested in Lesley Ugochukwu
According to Foot Mercato, Premier League side Everton are keen on signing Chelsea midfielder Ugochukwu.
It is understood that the Blues are hoping to send their French player out on loan for the 2024/25 campaign.
The report adds that Ugochukwu hopes to stay in England’s top division to continue his development.
Apparently, Everton are joined by an unnamed Ligue 1 side in wanting to sign the Chelsea youngster, plus another unknown foreign club.
A good deal for Chelsea?
The Chelsea Chronicle would be pretty optimistic if Ugochukwu ends up joining Everton.
He played just 15 games across all competitions last year during his debut season at Chelsea, which is certainly not something he’ll want to repeat again during this early stage of his career.
The £23m midfielder (BBC) would add some extra physicality and steel to Sean Dyche’s Everton squad. On paper, it could be a really good fit for him at Goodison Park.
