Chelsea face a tough task bringing Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Stamford Bridge in the new year.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is being linked with a move to Chelsea, with Calciomercato recently suggesting that Napoli could be willing to listen to offers of around €100m (£85.6m) next summer.
However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has since claimed on his Substack that the Georgian is not for sale and that “nothing is going to happen” in January.
Chelsea are also interested in Kvaratskhelia’s team-mate Victor Osimhen, but he is another player Napoli will not want to let go of.
The Nigerian is the Serie A champions’ most important asset, scoring 31 goals for them last season.

Chelsea will not be signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January
Romano reporting on Substack that Chelsea will not be signing Kvaratskhelia in the winter transfer window will disappoint some supporters. He is the kind of player you want to see at your ground every week.
The 22-year-old is really good at beating defenders, completing 3.9 dribbles per game in the Champions League last term, the highest average in Napoli’s squad (WhoScored). He also has end product, coming up with 22 goal contributions in the previous Serie A campaign.
It is obviously why Napoli want to keep him in a blow to Chelsea and other suitors.
The Blues could try and sign him in the summer, but you cannot imagine a world where Aurelio De Laurentiis is going to sell both the Georgia international and Osimhen in the same transfer window.
If the former Lille man leaves at the end of the season or before then, that would probably rule out a move for Kvaratskhelia.
He is a good player and it would be great if Chelsea could land both the wide man and Osimhen, but the latter has to be Mauricio Pochettino and the club’s priority.
