Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is set to reject a move to Nottingham Forest this summer.
That is according to a report from The Evening Standard.
They claim that Chelsea and Nottingham Forest are currently in discussions regarding the potential transfer of £50million-rated Reds attacker Brennan Johnson.
It is understood that the Blues have offered Trevoh Chalobah, 24, as part of a potential swap deal for Forest’s Johnson.
However, the report says that the Chelsea centre-back is expected to turn down a move to the City Ground as he wants a move to a higher-level club.
Incidentally, Mauricio Pochettino’s side could now try offer straight cash for Forest’s 22-year-old attacker.

So, Chalobah thinks he can do better than Forest and is seeking a bigger move away from Stamford Bridge.
In fairness, the 24-year-old defender has been a really dependable figure in Chelsea’s first team since stepping up from the academy, which is why a lot of supporters will be happy if he stays beyond the summr.
Described as “fantastic” by Frank Lampard back in May (Football.London), Chalobah is good enough to be regularly starting games for a top side in the Premier League.

Gianluca Di Marzio recently reported that Chelsea could sell Chalobah for around £22million this summer amid interest from Italian giants Inter Milan.
We think the English centre-half would be an incredible hit if he changed his mind and pursued a move to Forest. However, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him thrive in Serie A with Inter Milan as well.
