Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has decided he only wants to join Chelsea if he leaves Barcelona.
The news comes as Manchester United threatened to hijack the Blues’ deal for the 33-year-old, with the Blues getting closer to securing a move.
Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen for a reunion with the Gabonese international, who he worked with during both their times at Borussia Dortmund.

He is apparently unfazed by rumours of his attitude issues, with them being cited as the main reason why he left Arsenal midway through last season.
He moved to Barcelona in January, where he certainly found his scoring boots as Xavi’s side had somewhat of a domestic resurgence.
Aubameyang chooses Chelsea
Now though, the club have signed Robert Lewandowski to start up front, likely to leave him fighting for minutes off the bench.
This could see his move to Stamford Bridge come to fruition, with Romano claiming things are set to advance on that front today.

He said: “No negotiations between Pierre Aubameyang and Man United as things stand. It was ruled out days ago, Pierre is focused on Chelsea bid as he wants UCL football. New direct contacts on Thursday to discuss personal terms conditions.
“Xavi, still insisting to keep Auba.”
While the rumours may not be the most inspiring for Chelsea to close out the window, they could be about to plug a gap they really need to address.
Despite the dominance against Spurs last week, they still looked fairly toothless in front of goal, and signing a recognised Premier League goalscorer is the best way of addressing that issue.
