Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are going to be regularly sending scouts to watch Club Brugge starlet Antonio Nusa this season.

He took to YouTube to state that the club are going to continue to track the youngster’s progress after their attempts to bring him in late in the window was rejected.

It looked as if Chelsea were trying to steal a march on a number of their rivals as they attempted to bring in Nusa this summer.

They made a bid on deadline day to try and secure his services, however the deal did not come to fruition.

The Blues kept hold of first team stars Conor Gallagher and Ian Maatsen, despite the potential that they could have made some serious money for them.

Chelsea to continue scouting Nusa

The player himself has admitted since deadline day that the club made him a financially large offer for him to make the switch to Stamford Bridge. However, he made it clear that he was happy where he is right now.

It has been claimed since though that the Blues are not done with their interest in the Norway international, whose performance for the international team last night saw him described as ‘fearless’.

Romano has now claimed that the Blues are going to maintain their interest in the player by consistently scouting him for the coming season.

He said: “Chelsea plan to send a scout to Belgium on a regular basis to follow and track the progress of Antonio Nusa in the future.”

If he continues in the form he is, the Blues will have to fork out a big fee to bring him in next summer.
