Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested Aaron Ramsdale may need to leave Arsenal in January amid reported interest from Chelsea.

Aaron Ramsdale, who’s been the clear first-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal in recent times, is now firmly under the spotlight.

The 25-year-old keeper has dropped to the bench and been replaced by David Raya for the past two games. Who will start this weekend’s North London derby in the Premier League, though?

Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is certainly keeping his cards close to his chest and refusing to name one outright number one.

Ramsdale’s recent absence from the XI has led to transfer speculation about him possibly exiting the Emirates Stadium.

The Daily Mail claimed earlier this week that Chelsea and Bayern Munich are both closely monitoring Ramsdale’s situation at Arsenal.

Chelsea recently signed two new keepers in the summer window, but they’re open to the idea of adding a third.

“Ramsdale will be in the horrors now. The Euros are coming he’s thinking to himself I’ve just played for England I’ve got a chance now,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.

“Now he probably won’t even get on the plane.

“He has to go and play somewhere, it’s as simple as that.”
