Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Enzo Fernandez in the final minutes of the transfer window.
The Blues have been locked in fierce negotiations with Benfica over the potential transfer of the 22-year-old, but it now seems as if they’ve landed their man.

Romano took to Twitter to announce the news that Chelsea fans have been waiting to hear.
He said: “Enzo Fernández to Chelsea… HERE WE GO! Agreement reached right now between Chelsea & Benfica
“Important: clubs running to get the documents signed before end of the window, it’s finally agreed.”
Fernandez gets the Here We Go
The Blues have enjoyed a sensational January window as they looked to complete the second rebuild in quick succession at Stamford Bridge.
They were unable to secure a deal for Moises Caicedo from Brighton, with the Premier League side proving to not want to negotiate with either Chelsea or Arsenal.
They have already seen a midfielder leave the club today, with Jorginho leaving the club in favour of a move to the Gunners.

With less than half a season left on his contract and no assurances of extending his stay at Stamford Bridge, the Blues decided to cash in on the £12m.
However, the signing of Fernandez looks set to be a massive upgrade on the position, with him proving his abilities in the World Cup.
He was named the young player of the tournament in Qatar, and will be instantly bringing his talents to West London as the deal has been made for this month, and not for the end of the season.
