Ally McCoist has raved about the quality of Chelsea target Rafael Leao after watching his performance at the World Cup yesterday.
AC Milan winger Leao, who’s linked as a Chelsea target recently, is currently at the World Cup with Portugal.
The 23-year-old attacker has come off the bench in each of Portugal’s opening two group stage matches, including in Monday’s 2-0 win over Uruguay.
Journalist Carlo Garganese reports that Chelsea and Real Madrid are battling to sign Leao from AC Milan. He could reportedly cost as much as £105million, though.

McCoist, who was on co-commentary during Portugal’s victory against Uruguay, highlighted Leao for his positive cameo display from the bench.
“He’s different. I like him. He takes a chance and does something different. Very direct,” McCoist told ITV 1 (8:42pm, 28 November).
It’s now back-to-back games where Leao has injected something fresh into the Portugal line-up.
With Portugal’s spot in the knockout rounds now secure, it’ll be interesting to see if he gets his first start at a World Cup on Friday against South Korea.

It’s easy to see why an individual with Leao’s talent has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge.
The Milan speedster has been in marvellous form at club level this season, scoring seven goals and making nine assists in 20 appearances across all competitions.
He’s a nightmare for defenders with his explosive pace and desire to dribble directly towards goals.
Chelsea have missed a player in recent years that can skip past an opponent like he’s not there, something they’ve not had since Eden Hazard’s departure.
However, Leao would be the type of signing at Stamford Bridge that would really excite the Blues home ctowd.
