How much Chelsea will receive for Tyrique George sale as clause inserted in Fulham deal

Tyrique George played for Chelsea this weekend during the Premier League victory against Fulham, but he’s now set to complete a remarkable exit on deadline day to join Saturday’s opponents.

Tyrique George, who’s a product of the Chelsea academy, made his first-team breakthrough last season. However, the 19-year-old winger is now expected to be sold.

Back in May, George insisted his main goal is to play first-team football, whether that’s at Chelsea or somewhere else. Perhaps that was the biggest indication that the teenager’s future may lie elsewhere.

Roma have been confident of signing George after chasing a deal for the Blues talent on deadline day. However, he’s tipped to be making the short move across West London to close rivals Fulham.

Fulham agree to buy Tyrique George

According to The Athletic, Fulham have now reached an agreement to sign George on a permanent deal from Chelsea.

It is understood that Marco Silva’s side are set to sign the attacker in a deal worth £22m. Also, there will be a sell-on clause in place ahead of his move to Craven Cottage, where he’s agreed a five-year contract.

The Chelsea wide man, who can also play centrally, is now set to complete a medical.

Chelsea supporters criticised George after his weekend display against Fulham in the Premier League, but he will now get the opportunity to prove his doubters wrong at a new club.

RB Leipzig look set to fail with late Tyrique George attempt

Sky journalist Philipp Hinze reported via X on deadline day that German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig made late contact about a move for Chelsea’s George.

Instead, the English youngster is staying in the Premier League with neighbours Fulham.

It will be interesting to see if George can break into their starting line-up, particularly in his favoured role on the left wing. Without a doubt, he’s got the potential to be one that has got away from Chelsea, which will sting if he achieves big things in Fulham colours.
