Randal Kolo Muani has gone public with his desire to join PSG – despite also holding talks with Chelsea earlier this summer.
The France international spoke to Florian Plettenburg of Sky Germany about his future.
So, what did Randal Kolo Muani say? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, it was L’Equipe who claimed that the Frenchman held talks with Chelsea in July.
A story from Christian Falk of BILD even stated that Kolo Muani wanted to speak to Mauricio Pochettino before making a decision on his future.
Now, a decision has been made – the Eintracht Frankfurt No.9 wants to join PSG.
Plettenburg quotes Kolo Muani as saying: “I owe Eintracht Frankfurt a lot. I’ve taken the fans to my heart and have always behaved in a highly professional way. I always gave everything for the club until the very end.
“However, it’s no secret that Paris Saint-Germain made a record offer for me. A move to Paris is now a unique opportunity for me. I would like to move to Paris and have also informed the people in charge.
“I hope and wish that Eintracht will agree to Paris‘ offer and that this move will now be made possible for me.”

There you have it.
PSG made an improved £68.8m bid for Kolo Muani on Tuesday – according to Sky Sports – although Eintracht Frankfurt are holding out for €100m (£86m).
Chelsea know what it takes to sign Randal Kolo Muani
While talk of Chelsea and Kolo Muani has gone quiet recently, the opportunity to sign a striker who amazingly recorded 40 goals involvements in 46 appearances last season is there to be taken.
Eintracht Frankfurt have named their price, and Chelsea are definitely on the lookout for a new attacker – the Independent even claimed that an £80m move for Ivan Toney could happen.

While that remains to be seen, it suggests Chelsea have a large chunk of cash waiting to be spent on a striker, and Kolo Muani’s asking price is not far away from the £80m Brentford want for Toney.
Therefore – if PSG tell Eintracht Frankfurt they cannot pay the money – Chelsea could swoop in before Friday’s transfer deadline.
