Jamal Musiala was one of the first to respond to Chelsea prodigy Levi Colwill’s terrific display against Liverpool on Saturday.

Former Blue Musiala was one of many who reacted to the defender’s celebratory Instagram post in light of Brighton & Hove Albion’s brilliant 3-0 Premier League victory over the Reds yesterday.

Colwill started the match by the South Coast, tasked with halting a front-line consisting of Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Jurgen Klopp could’ve put out any combination of attackers, and they probably still wouldn’t have got past the 19-year-old.

Levi Colwill controlled Liverpool

The Brighton centre-back, on loan from Chelsea, was a brick wall in the face of the typically threatening Liverpool attack.

Not only was a defensive menace, he also demonstrated really maturity whilst in possession.

According to WhoScored.com, Colwill had the second-most touches in the match (100), made more passes than any player (96) and achieved a passing accuracy of 92.7%.

He also chipped in with a pair of clearances and won two of his aerial duels.

All in day’s’ work for the England youth international, who continues to justify potential returning to Chelsea next season.

Many at the club reportedly believe the academy graduate will be part of the long-term project once he finally finishes life out on loan.

Based on the triumph over Liverpool, and the other excellent examples across the campaign, there is absolutely no reason why this can’t come true.
