Jermain Defoe thinks Chelsea target and Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham has incredible potential.
Bellingham, who’s still only 19, is a hugely talented midfielder for both club and country.
He’s an integral piece of the Dortmund side, even captaining them on numerous occasions. In addition, he’s already got 22 senior international caps for England.
The all-action central midfielder is already looking like such an accomplished player as a teenager, which is why it’s no surprise he’s regularly linked with a big move.

Chelsea want Jude Bellingham
The Telegraph claimed last month that Chelsea’s board are ready to ‘move heaven and earth’ to try bring £100million-rated Bellingham to the club.
He’s a complete midfielder that gives you an attacking threat, scoring 10 goals and making six assists in 33 Dortmund appearances this season. Meanwhile, he’s a powerful runner that works hard out of possession and can defend aggressively.
Graham Potter’s side already purchased a marquee signing in midfield mid-season, bringing in the fantastic Enzo Fernandez for £106.8million from Benfica.
Will Chelsea go spend another £100million-plus in the centre of the park, though?

Defoe, who scored 20 goals in 57 England caps during his playing career, is clearly a massive admirer of a current Three Lions star.
He is very excited about the Dortmund youngster’s potential moving forward.
When discussing Bellingham to Sports Mole, Defoe said: “I’m not going to say that he can be in that bracket now, because I think what Lamps and Stevie did, that’s unique. We’re talking about some of the greatest players to play the game.’
“Frank Lampard scoring 20 goals from midfield for six consecutive seasons I think it was – that’s a special player. And Steven Gerrard, what can I say about Stevie? One of the best players I played with – had everything.
“I would like to think that he (Bellingham) could get to that level and we saw it in the World Cup how good he is. He’s so young, and he’s just like a man – it’s frightening. How good he’ll become, who knows? He might even be better, we don’t know, but just let the boy develop, let him enjoy his football, but the way he’s going, the sky’s the limit because he is a special talent.”
