Chelsea have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer, but they’re not interested in bringing him to Stamford Bridge.
According to Bild journalist Christian Falk on Twitter, PSG have offered their versatile 25-year-old player to Chelsea.
However, it’s explained the Blues have “no interest” in signing him.
“TRUE: Thilo Kehrer (26) @PSG_inside was offered to @ChelseaFC. There was no interest of Chelsea,” Falk wrote.
Chelsea offered Thilo Kehrer

Kehrer, who’s a three-time French league champion in PSG colours, is a player with excellent pedigree.
He’s proven his quality regularly switching between the centre-back and right-back position, something he’s done when representing his country Germany as well.
The defender made 74 appearances under Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel when he was manager at PSG, too. It doesn’t like a reunion is on the cards anytime soon, though.
Unquestionably, the Blues need to further reinforce their defensive options despite the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli in this window.
However, fans need to trust the club in that Kehrer is not the right fit. He’s entering the final year of his contract at Paris, so it sounds like the French Ligue 1 champions are doing their best to offload him.

Blues defence
Despite Reece James’ versatility to drop in at centre-back, he needs to play 99 per cent of his games in a right wing-back role where he’s so effective going forward. It means the club need to sign a new centre-back sharpish.
Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano is another centre-half linked with a transfer to Stamford Bridge this week amid a deal for Sevilla’s Jules Kounde stalling.
It appears that a spot may be available for a youngster like Trevoh Chalobah or Levi Colwill to force their way into the starting line-up for at least the first game of the season.
