Leicester are now considering signing ‘very talented’ Chelsea player on deadline day

Chelsea and Leicester City could do a bit more business with each other before the transfer window closes later.

Chelsea have already signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester, while the Blues also allowed teenager Michael Golding to move to the King Power Stadium.

They took Enzo Maresca from their Premier League rivals, too, and he is unlikely to have any problems with his former club raiding his new employers for one of their outcasts.

The likes of Armando Broja, Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell are all available right now.

Leicester could make late move for Armando Broja

Broja was set to join another newly-promoted Premier League side, Ipswich Town, but a move to there broke down.

However, the striker could still end up leaving Stamford Bridge, with The Telegraph reporting that Leicester are now considering signing him on loan.

Broja, like Sterling and Chilwell, is not part of Maresca’s senior squad. Exits for all three would be beneficial, with the second of the trio currently being linked to Arsenal.

A high earner, Chelsea would be keen for Sterling to join Arsenal, but the fact that he is making so much money in west London is making a transfer difficult.

Armando Broja should join Leicester

If Broja does have the chance to sign for Leicester today, then the 22-year-old has to go there.

He is very unlikely to play at Chelsea, who are still looking to bring in another striker. Broja should get more minutes at Leicester, where he would get to work under a good coach in Steve Cooper.

As for the Foxes, they will be getting a centre-forward with some Premier League experience and a lot of potential.

“He’s a very nice, very good lad and a very talented young boy,” former Chelsea and Everton manager Frank Lampard was quoted as saying by the Metro when speaking about Broja a couple of years ago.

Ultimately, it could be a good move for all parties involved, especially Broja, who needs game time after missing a lot of football over the last two seasons.
