Liverpool defender Andy Robertson said he loves watching Leicester City full-back and Chelsea’s reported target Ben Chilwell and named him in his top-three left-backs in the world.
The rumours about Chelsea manager Frank Lampard’s interest in bringing the 23-year-old to Stamford Bridge has divided opinions among Blues fans, as we previously reported.
Since some of these fans apparently need another convincing after Ashley Cole spoke about his admiration for Chilwell back in December (talkSPORT), Liverpool left-back Robertson has now listed the England international among the best.

Asked to name the three best left-backs in the world, Robertson told BT Sport: “I think Alphonso Davies, already world-class but he can only get better.
“Ben Chilwell I love watching in the Premier League.
“Then I would say Jordi Alba, the more experienced one of the three I would say, maybe coming near the end of his career, but what a career he’s had.
“He and Marcelo probably took left-backs to a whole new level.”

The Athletic journalist David Ornstein previously told Tifo Podcast that Lampard “definitely wants to sign” Chilwell, although not everyone at Chelsea are “not convinced” about the fee that it would take to price him out of Leicester’s hands.
The fact is Chilwell still has four years left in his contract at King Power Stadium and Leicester are arguably under no pressure to sell this summer.
The defender made 27 Premier League appearances this season and his absence in the last five games could be one of the reasons the top-four finish slipped out of Leicester’s hands and cost them a Champions League spot.
