‘Look for a move’: 23-year-old Chelsea player will look to move if he doesn’t improve this season – journalist

Journalist Dean Jones has claimed to GiveMeSport that Kai Havertz could be set to look for a move away from Chelsea at the end of the season.

The German has been flattering to deceive in recent weeks as the striker at Stamford Bridge.

Despite a whole host of talent being brought in behind him in January, the 23-year-old is still looking a cut below what is required.

The signings of Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke have all impressed since coming in to the side, however the presence of a natural striker has killed the Blues.

Havertz is simply not a number nine, however established striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks a long way away from the first team right now.

There is still the option of David Datro Fofana, although it seems he has been brought in with an eye to the future as opposed to the present day.

Havertz could leave Chelsea

This has seen faith remain in Havertz, although he must be beginning to be frustrated at the lack of appearances in his favoured role.

Jones has claimed that if things don’t improve on the pitch, the player himself may consider his options.

He said: “It should work eventually. If you’ve got Mudryk and Joao Felix trying to supply him with the ammunition, it should take off.

“But, if it’s not by the end of this season, I think it might be that it’s Havertz that is frustrated and actually might even look for a move.”

The Blues are also set to welcome the addition of Christopher Nkunku at the end of the season.

They may run in to a similar issue however, given the fact that he has stated himself that he doesn’t see himself as a natural striker.
