Massimiliano Allegri is now waiting for Romelu Lukaku to join him at Juventus – with Chelsea expected to sanction a permanent exit within the next few days.
That is according to Tutto Mercato Web.
So, what is the latest on Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Italian news outlet believe Juventus want a deal finalised within the next ten days.
It is said that Chelsea are definitely going to sell Lukaku on a permanent basis – rather than agree to another loan exit – and a “decisive” development should happen in the coming days.
Juventus have already signalled to Chelsea that they will offer a €40m (£34m) package to sign the Belgium international, with the Blues happy to accept this offer – according to Calcio Mercato.
At this stage of the Lukaku saga, Chelsea just want the 30-year-old gone for good.

The same report from Calcio Mercato states that Chelsea have also accepted a €50m (£43m) bid from Al-Hilal for the Belgian, although he is not keen on a move to Saudi Arabia.
Therefore, Chelsea are willing to take a £9m hit just to offload Lukaku.
Lukaku exit could see Chelsea make some signings
Once Chelsea finally offload Lukaku, we would expect to see further developments in regards to incomings at Stamford Bridge.
Mauricio Pochettino will have £350,000-a-week freed up from the wage bill once the striker departs west London, as well as a chunk of cash in the region of £35m.
That could get Chelsea a signing from the very top drawer, if not two additions of real quality on wages of around £175,000-a-week each.

Hopefully, Chelsea can seal Lukaku’s exit quickly, and reinvest the cash into players who can help Pochettino in the 2023/24 campaign.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Juventus hope to sign the Antwerp-born forward within the next two weeks.
