Luis Enrique has now told Neymar and Marco Verratti to leave PSG – after both have been linked with moves to Chelsea.

That is according to Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport.

So, what do Chelsea fans need to know about Marco Verratti and Neymar? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, it was Sky Sports who claimed that Chelsea are considering a move for Verratti after losing N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount.

Elsewhere – according to Le Parisien – the Blues are keen to bring Neymar to Stamford Bridge, with Todd Boehly particularly interested in the Brazilian superstar.

Now, both have been told to leave the Parc des Princes.

Hawkins believes Enrique and Luis Campos – Director of Football at PSG – held individual talks with players on Wednesday morning, with Hugo Ekitike, Juan Bernat and Renato Sanches also being told to find new clubs.

Neymar and Verratti were also left out of the official squad photographs, while both trained indoors separately.

By the sounds of it, neither have a future in Paris, so it will be interesting to see if Chelsea act on their availability.

Chelsea more likely to sign Neymar than Verratti

At this stage of the window, it seems as if Chelsea’s links to Verratti are fading.

The Blues are still pursuing Moises Caicedo, and have just made a £48m bid for Romeo Lavia, so it would appear Mauricio Pochettino has other priorities in the midfield market rather than target Verratti.

However, Chelsea have not been linked with many forwards – only Dusan Vlahovic, who the Guardian believe Pochettino is unsure about, has been strongly tipped to join the Blues.

Therefore – especially after Christopher Nkunku suffered a serious knee injury – we believe a move for Neymar is more likely to materialise at Stamford Bridge than a swoop for Verratti.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation – however – as anything could happen this summer.
