Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing an attacking midfielder from the Bundesliga this summer.

However, Manchester City are also thought to be keen on him, which could really complicate things for Chelsea.

The Blues are having a busy summer, already bringing in the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo.

Chelsea have also agreed a deal with Palmeiras to sign Estevao Willian, who will join the club next year.

They still look keen to add another attacker to their squad, though. It has been claimed that Chelsea are interested in Karim Adeyemi.

Manchester City and Chelsea have Bundesliga star on their radar

Adeyemi is not the only attacker from the Bundesliga who Chelsea appear to be looking at right now.

However, if they want to sign him this summer, it looks like they may have to see off competition from Pep Guardiola and City.

According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea are interested in RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo.

But the same outlet has also claimed that City are tempted to trigger the £51m release clause in Olmo’s contract.

The Blues may need to get a move on, then, if they really want to sign him in this transfer window. Of course, there is only so much both clubs can do right now, with the Spain international currently at the Euros.

Dani Olmo’s stats at Euro 2024

Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal are the Spain players who have been in the headlines during Euro 2024.

Olmo, though, also deserves a lot of credit for his country’s success in the tournament.

In the four games that the 26-year-old has played, he has scored two goals and provided two assists. What makes that even more impressive is the fact that Olmo only started one of those four matches.

According to WhoScored, the Leipzig star is also completing three dribbles per game, which is the highest average in Luis de la Fuente’s squad.

His performances at Euro 2024 alone show how dangerous of a attacker he can be. It is no surprise that both City and Chelsea have him on their radar.
