Chelsea youngster Carney Chukwuemeka will soon find out where he’s playing his football next season.
That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.
He’s claimed on his Substack that Chelsea will “soon” decide what to do with Carney Chukwuemeka in this summer transfer window.
It is understood that the 19-year-old Blues midfielder is attracting loan interest right now.
Phillips adds that Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino will be looking at the English teenager during pre-season.
He’s dropped the interesting line that the Argentine coach was already well aware of Chukwuemeka’s ability and potential before taking the manager’s job this summer, too.

So, Pochettino’s squad is beginning to take shape as the mass exodus continues at Stamford Bridge.
We’re very intrigued to see what he decides to do with Chukwuemeka.
In our view, the central midfielder could be worth keeping in the first-team squad next season.
First of all, we’re looking quite thin on numbers in the centre of the park. On top of that, he’s an extremely talented youngster that needs more opportunities and has shown in snippets how good he can be.

Journalist Nizaar Kinsella claimed on Twitter last month that Chukwuemeka was among the crop of Chelsea youngsters considering their futures amid the potential option to be loaned out in the 2023/24 season.
He wrongly didn’t get enough minutes on the pitch last season during his debut year when Chelsea’s first team was in a poor state.
Hopefully, he can catch the eye during the pre-season tour to the United States next month and convince Pochettino to keep him.
If not, we suppose a loan to a Premier League rival to play more consistently wouldn’t be the worst thing.
