Chelsea may be forced into selling Ian Maatsen in January as they continue to make zero progress on his future.
That is according to a report from The Telegraph.
They explain that Ian Maatsen, 21, is currently out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
It is explained that the Blues are likely to listen to transfer offers for him in the January transfer window if there’s no significant progress on a new deal.
The report adds that Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has been left impressed by the Dutch youngster this season.
However, there’s a chance that the club may look to sell him in the New Year.

The Telegraph’s report mentions Chelsea accepted a £31.5million bid from Burnley for Maatsen in the summer, but the player decided to stay put at Stamford Bridge.
He’s made his breakthrough into the Blues first-team squad, making six appearances across all competitions so far this season.
It’s been very interesting to see Pochettino only use him in forward positions, whether it’s as a winger or a No 10 playmaker. This is despite him being a left-back by trade and winning Championship promotion with Burnley last season as a full-back.

The Athletic recently claimed that some established top-flight clubs could soon make a move to try sign Maatsen.
We’d much prefer to the club to reach a contract agreement with the youngster and for him to stay, especially as he’s in Pochettino’s good books.
The versatile youngster could turn out to be a really effective player in this squad moving forward, so seeing him go and thrive elsewhere would be a real body blow.
It’s vital that the club’s hierarchy do their best to please the individual in the manager’s dugout, who’s ultimately the one tasked with getting a tune out of these players.
