Brentford star Ivan Toney is Mauricio Pochettino’s ideal player for the No.9 position at Chelsea.
That is according to a report from LondonWorld.
It states that Ivan Toney is the centre-forward that Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign in January because the 27-year-old is English, at the right age and Premier League-proven.

He was in impressive form for Brentford last season, scoring 20 goals in 33 top-flight outings to help the Bees finish ninth in the table.
Chelsea signed Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal during the summer transfer window, but the Blues look like they could still do with more firepower up front. The Senegal international has only netted once so far this term.
Ivan Toney should be a priority for Chelsea
Because of the above, signing a striker like Toney should be at the top of Chelsea’s to-do list.
Pochettino needs to add more goals to this side, with the Blues having scored just 38 times in the Premier League last season, and Toney has shown that he is capable of bringing just that to Stamford Bridge.

It is going to take a lot of money for Chelsea to get the England international out of the Gtech Community Stadium, with The Times suggesting that he could cost £80m.
And because of the current ban he is serving, Toney may be a bit rusty when he returns to action. But based on what the Brentford man showed in the last campaign alone, he has to be a priority for the Blues right now.
