Brentford technical director Lee Dykes does not sound too confident about keeping hold of Ivan Toney amid interest from Chelsea and other Premier League clubs.
Chelsea and Arsenal are two sides who are keen on Ivan Toney, according to TEAMtalk, who claim that it will take at least £70m to get the striker out of the Gtech Community Stadium.
And Lee Dykes, who has been speaking to Brentford’s official club website, is refusing to rule out the possibility of Toney leaving.
Thomas Frank is still without Toney after his suspension from football. However, he was a key player for him last season, scoring 20 goals in the Premier League.
Lee Dykes suggests Ivan Toney could leave Brentford
Dykes had a chance to go on record and say that Toney is not leaving Brentford but never.
On the England international, he said: “Yes, there will be lots of interest in Ivan in January. Naturally, there should be. He was the third-highest Premier League goalscorer last season – one of them [Harry Kane] has gone to Germany now, so he’s up there as one of the best strikers in the division. He is in the top five in the world, in my opinion.
“So there should be interest, and maybe the time comes very shortly that Ivan moves on to another club. But they will have to pay a decent transfer fee to acquire his services because he is some talent.”

Ivan Toney to leave Brentford in January
Frank will want to keep hold of Toney until at least the end of the season, but considering Dykes’ words, it does not seem impossible that he leaves next month.
It would be a huge blow for Brentford but a major boost for Chelsea, Arsenal or whoever ends up signing the 27-year-old.
As highlighted earlier, Toney has shown that he can score goals in the Premier League. The kind of firepower he brings to the table could perhaps help Chelsea to qualify for Europe or Arsenal win the title.
As well as Toney, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is another centre-forward who the Blues appear to be interested in.
