Napoli could end up shifting their focus on trying to sign Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah.
That is according to a report from Il Mattino.
Trevoh Chalobah, 24, hasn’t played a Chelsea game this season due to injury, but he’s been regularly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
So, will the academy graduate end up moving before the close of this month’s January transfer window?

Il Mattino has clamed that Napoli are interested in signing Genoa’s £30m-rated defender Radu Dragusin.
It is understood that the Italian club do have alternatives on their radar, though.
The report mentions Napoli could shift their focus on Chelsea centre-half Chalobah if they fail to get Genoa’s star. Any kind of deal for the 24-year-old Blues star to Naples would be on loan.
In addition, Tottenham’s Eric Dier is a potential target for the Serie A team.
Napoli may be interested in Trevoh Chalobah
There’s some real stiff competition at Chelsea in the centre-back position, so perhaps a permanent exit for Chalobah could make sense in 2024.
Journalist Rudy Galetti claimed on X this week that Chelsea have offered Chalobah on loan to Roma.
Meanwhile, The Independent reports that Bayern Munich are interested in signing Chalobah this month.
It seems like there’s no issue finding a suitor for the versatile English defender, but we’ll wait for an update from the club on when he can actually return from injury.
The Blues are still in pretty safe hands with the full-backs and centre-backs at their disposal.
