Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is unlikely to move to Chelsea or another club in the January transfer window.

Aaron Ramsdale has been linked to Chelsea, but Fabrizio Romano has stated on Substack that Arsenal are “not negotiating” with anyone right now over the sale of the 25-year-old and that the club do not want to make any decisions until next summer.

Journalist Ben Jacobs recently stated on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that the Blues will be keeping an eye on Ramsdale’s situation at the Emirates.

The Englishman has lost his spot in Mikel Arteta’s team following the arrival of David Raya.

However, it does not look like that will push him out of the club just yet.

Arsenal not negotiating with Chelsea or any other club right now

It is not a shock to hear Romano report that Arsenal are not in discussions with anyone regarding Ramsdale.

The season is still young; Arteta may very well still haves plans for the goalkeeper, who the Gunners signed from Sheffield United for £30m (Sky Sports).

As for Chelsea, even if their London rivals were letting other clubs know that Ramsdale is available, do they really need him?

The Blues signed Robert Sanchez during the summer and yes, he did mess up when the two sides met over the weekend, coming in for criticism for his display. However, he has been good for Mauricio Pochettino’s team overall.

The Spain international has actually made some really good saves for his new side, with one of them winning Castrol Save of the Month for September.

All in all, then, it does not look like Chelsea are going to sign Ramsdale in January. And if Sanchez can do more of what he did against Aston Villa and less of what he did against Arsenal, then there will not be a reason for the Blues to consider Ramsdale in the first place.
